Over the past eight years, Erica has worked with a diverse population of children, adolescents, adults, and families, conducting group, individual, and family therapy. She has worked in a multitude of settings, ranging from community case management, in-home therapy, to Partial Care and Intensive Outpatient, as well as the school setting.

Erica’s true passion is working with adolescents and parents, helping to decrease impulsivity and ineffective behaviors by improving mood and interpersonal communication skills. Through the use of DBT and CBT modalities, she focuses on cultivating and acquiring coping skills while challenging cognitive distortions. Erica also utilizes her modalities to teach self-soothing, interpersonal effectiveness, mood regulation, distress tolerance, and mindfulness. She also has extensive experience working with adolescents engaging in high-risk behaviors and managing crises. Erica is highly experienced in treating:

  • Youth and adults presenting with Anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, and mood disorders.
  • Children and adolescents with ADHD, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder
  • Youth and Families in crisis

In her free time, Erica enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, family and friends, loves the beach and going to the movies.

“I truly believe that with the correct skills, knowledge, and balance between validation and challenging the client, the ability to improve mood, self-esteem, and daily functioning are within reach. Through the utilization of DBT, CBT, music, mindfulness, and the relationship between therapist and client, I strive to bring about the age of change to help one reach their full potential”.
