Julie is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) who earned her Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in clinical practice with families and children from Monmouth University. She has experience working in nonprofit organizations and intensive outpatient settings. Julie has experience working with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and grief/loss.
Julie’s approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a deep respect for each client as an individual. Julie believes in meeting her clients where they are, empowering them with the tools and support they need to make lasting changes, improve their well-being, and become the best version of themselves. Above all, her goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where her clients feel heard, understood, and supported. Julie believes that therapy is a journey, and she is here to walk alongside her clients every step of the way.
Julie utilizes a range of therapeutic modalities to best serve her clients’ needs, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. These evidence-based approaches allow her to tailor treatment to address issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and self-esteem.
In her work with adolescents, Julie focuses on building trust and helping young people navigate the complexities of school, social pressures, and family dynamics. With adults, Julie supports clients in managing stress, improving emotional regulation, and resolving past conflicts that impact their present lives.
In her free time, Julie enjoys reading, playing the piano, watching the sunset on the beach, and spending time with her loved ones and her 13 year old pitbull, Hazel.
