Jessica Lelinho 
MA, LPC, NCC, LCADC, C-DBT

Jessica is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Licensed Clinical Alcohol Drug Counselor (LCADC), and Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT) with more than 10 years of experience working in the mental health and addictions field. Jessica earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from William Paterson University where she was a member of Psi Chi International Honor Society for Psychology majors and earned her Master of Arts Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University where she graduated with her Masters Degree in Counseling with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Jessica has been working in the mental health and addictions field since 2012 in which she has experience working as a therapist in a hospital, agency, and private practice settings. Jessica has experience in an inpatient short-term psychiatric facility, outpatient substance abuse facility, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), and Intensive In Community (IIC). Jessica has volunteer experience with the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, CrisisChat, and TxtNow and has completed Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).

Jessica works with children as young as 5 years old, adolescents, young adults, and families. She utilizes evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Informed, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Jessica has earned a CMIP (Certified Mindfulness Informed Professional) certification.

Jessica is also trained in Sand Play Therapy. Jessica has received training in play therapy, mindfulness, and stress reduction. These techniques and modalities have been proven to be effective in treating issues pertaining to mental health, addictions, and relationships.

Jessica has worked with clients struggling with Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Depression, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, Anxiety, Adjustment Disorders, Alcohol Dependence, Opiate Use Disorder/Dependence, Co-Occurring Disorders, Substance Abuse, familial issues, parenting issues, bullying, self-harm, LGBTQIA+, and numerous other mental health challenges. 

Jessica provides services in a safe, non-judgmental setting. She focuses on getting to know the client and the development of a trusting therapeutic relationship. She does not believe that there is a “one size fits all” approach to therapy. Jessica’s main goal is to elicit long lasting behavioral changes and provide the client with the coping skills and self-care techniques needed to continue to grow and overcome obstacles presented in the future.

When Jessica is not providing therapy, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, listening to country music, cooking, baking, and going to the beach.

Jessica is a passionate therapist. She is always learning or researching new techniques that she can utilize to assist those she is helping continue to grow.
