Michael graduated from Monmouth University with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a licensed LAC. He began his career providing individual and group therapy at CPC Addiction Recovery Services before joining the Monmouth County PACT team, where he continues to provide individual and group counseling services.
Michael has experience using a variety of therapeutic approaches, including DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Ecotherapy, and Logotherapy (existential counseling). He has worked with adults experiencing a wide range of diagnoses, such as anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Additionally, he has experience supporting couples and families in understanding and managing diverse mental health challenges.
Outside of his professional work, Michael enjoys playing a variety of instruments, exploring local parks, tinkering with home projects, and eagerly anticipating winter to return to snowboarding in the Northeast.
As a counselor, Michael blends a respect for the language we use to define our experiences with compassionate exploration of existential concerns. He emphasizes treatment through thoughtful goal setting and intentional reclamation of life’s daily beauties.
