Rory is a Licensed Social Worker with over two years of experience in the mental health field and is currently pursuing his Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from East Carolina University and a Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University.
Rory’s clinical experience includes working as a therapist within the foster care system, where he provided trauma-informed support to children, adolescents, and families. While completing his graduate studies, he also worked as a counselor in a detox facility, gaining firsthand experience supporting individuals in early recovery.
Rory utilizes a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), for which he is certified, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). He has extensive experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and those who are neurodivergent, and is deeply committed to providing inclusive, strengths-based care.
He has supported clients dealing with a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, PTSD, personality disorders, parenting challenges, family dynamics, and addiction. Rory approaches each therapeutic relationship with respect, flexibility, and a belief in the power of growth and healing.
Outside of his professional work, Rory enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and their rescue dog, Junior. He’s an avid reader, traveler, and tennis player who also loves the beach, movies, and riding his bike. A passionate Mets and Jets fan, Rory is on a mission to visit as many baseball stadiums as possible.
